Hippie, 70s, ethnic, boho-chic, vintage … the words that describe the perfect combination for the festival season. If you are a colour and glitter lover, that can’t really show off her inner fairy in the middle of the big city, attending a themed festival will represent more than a great concert for you. I’m talking about creating a character through a special outfit that will empower you to have fun till the early morning! You’ll probably hunt for new hair\braids ideas, funky make-up looks, flash or henna tattoo designs and struggle to find that perfect online accessory store. My preparation list is almost done and I wanted to share with you some of my tips and tricks for this festival season.
First of all, and maybe my favourite part- GLITTER. One of the latest trends that you may have seen during the Burberry’s Fall 2016 Men’s show and now, all over Instagram, is the sparkling under-eye make-up, or how the makeup artist Wendy Rowe likes to call it: the sparkling “tears of joy”. All these years people tried to hide and cover up their freckles, and now one of the cutest trends is blowing up: you can use metallic flash tattoos, craft glitter, or sequins to create different styles of faux painted freckles.
Music festivals are all about true self free spirit, and what great way to glow then adding a little bit of sparkle to your make up, or even your hair. You can adopt the glitter roots trend and find your hairstyle spirit animal. It’s super effective especially if you want to cover grown roots in a more colourful manner. For my festival make-up look I’ve decided to use bright pink and white glitter as a highlighter above my cheekbones and to create a colourful double blue wing eyeliner.
For this post I’ve decided to create a bohemian festival inspired look, so my lovely friend (check his amazing work: Sorin Marculescu Photography ) and I went to the Japanese Garden in the Bucharest Herastrau Park to shoot the outfit and the presentation video.
Lately I had an obsession with long maxi dresses. To accentuate my waist I’ve used a black\silver leather belt with some aztec details that I found on ASOS.COM. The best thing about this style is that you can add as many accessories as you want. It was quite difficult for me to find interesting silver\gold ring designs, but since one of my friends showed me the items on REGALROSE.COM, I’m literally covered in silver rings. This is also the store from where I purchase most of my stone chokers – they made such a massive come back this summer and they should be a must for your festival preparation list.
